What we do when are not Surfing??? It's kinda hard especially when u finish up your surf trips in Indo and Phuket and start wondering what's next (April - Oct)? For some of us....we pick up skateboarding as this is the closes sports we can think of which resembles of surfing!! We cant snowboard BUT maybe we can wake board but again it is too costly to start picking up wake boarding. Well, if any of you interested to pick up skateboarding or downhill skating, can always join us!!!
Most of the time, we were skating in Shah Alam (Concrete Bowl), Mont Kiara Skate Park, Putrajaya (Concrete Bowl)....
We are not pro skater or such, we are just practising and learn to manuovre like surfing. We started from bottom as well. With no skate experience at all but THANKS to all the skaters we met which teaches us how to skate!! Salute to the Malaysian Skater!! They ROCKS!!!
But mind you guys that skateboarding is dangerous if u dont wear safety padding!! Unless you are still young and rocking. For a ordinary guy(OLD) like me with so much fats that im carrying...cant imagine the impact if i fall while skating without safety gear.
It is not an expensive sport as well, all you need is your safety gear and a skateboard. Its fun and kick ass sport!! I learn skating when im 30!!! hahahahhaa.....never too old to learn!!! Its all in you!!! Enough said but right now there is only couple of us skateboarding....
The only survivor is me, Leh, Joel and Brenda which still trying hard to forget about surfing at the moment and start skating!!! Whenever we are done with skating and start having couple of Teh Tariks.....all we talk is SURF!! It is so stress.......
